HIGHLIGHTS OF Wednesday Evening, August 6, 2008
August 06th “Unconscious Incompetence” “I Complain Therefore I Am” “Complaining and Health”
On this evening, we discovered and began the process of living in A Complaint-Free Zone in a Complaint-Free World. It was fun and freeing. The Rev. Herb Lassiter, Minister-Editor of this web site, kicked it off with the story behind this Journey Into Spiritual Competence. He invited us to a 21-day journey that might take up to 8 months to complete. (The story of the hen that took a vacation in the middle of laying eggs helped to make this point.)
The Rev. Dr. Emma Luster-Lassiter, the Minister who serves as Director of Human Resources for C.U.T., led us through the consequences of Complaining on our health. She provided us with some spiritually practical and user-friendly alternatives to Complaining --- and the health benefits we receive as we cease complaining. It was a thoroughly enjoying evening punctuated by songs and good fellowship. .
